Brotherhood of the Crow part 24

Normally, for me, painting "greenskins" means plaguebearers, but in recognition of Erny's announcement of Orctober I am going to be painting an entry from the Realm of Chaos Retinue Table in the form of D6 Goblins, since I don't have any 80s orcs. I've managed to find 5 early goblins, 80s to '91, and one runt from the Squig Catapult in my bitz box. Two of the goblins are Marauder miniatures and the other 4 are GW, though I can't find the hooded bowmen in any of the citadel catalogues. The squig catapult runt is the "hoochbearer" of the unit, because if you can't shoot straight its better if you can't see straight either.

  1. Orctober is working when even the non-orc gamers start painting greenskins. I love seeing the scraped together units too, thats how I started expanding my orc collection way back in the late 90's. Look forward to seeing what you do with them Urion.

  2. Oh and the gobbo bow you can't find is a citadel wolf boy variant.

    1. That's funny. He looks like he is supposed to be standing on his feet.

    3. Yeah, I mounted a standing chaos warrior on a war eagle conversion back in the 00s. It looked a little silly but it worked at the time.

    1. Thanks. I'm painting the goblin with the axe right now. He will be the leader of the unit.
