Nurgle Iron Warriors

I have recently traded for a lot of chaos and I am working on an Iron Warriors chaos army. Here are some pictures of models I've recently finished.

Gallows Demon

So, I started and finished a new project. I finally got my hands on the beautiful treewoman by Ultraforge. She is amazing and there are lots of pictures of her on the internet. So I felt compelled to put a new spin on her and make her into a demon for Warhammer 40k. I'll be using her as either a Bloodthirster or a Lord of Change. I painted her in about two and a half hours. The only part I airbrushed was the nooses, because they more around when you touch them and it was impossible to paint them by hand, I did some washes on them though.

Gorkamorka Buildings update

Progress continues on the Gorkamorka buildings. I've added glyphs and writing to the walls, as well as a little graffiti. Next I'll be adding extra scrap to the outside to cobble it up a little and make it look more orky.

I've also been working on a second building. Progress on these is going very quickly.

Gorkamorka Building 1

So, I'm helping my brother with a project. He is rewriting the rules for Gorkamorka. He is using a combination of Games Workshop rules and Malifaux rules. I am painting the buildings for him. Its good practice for using my airbrush. I'm using a combination of airbrush and weathering pigments. Here are the early results. I will also be trying to create graffiti using my airbrush, but my early attempts have caused me to have to redo some of the walls. I'll give it another try once I practice on some paper. I also plan on adding orky "improvements" to it.

Almost Done With Trikky!

I decided to use masking tape instead of stencils. It was pretty easy. Just have a few more details, the head and the base left.

Trikky Progress

My new Trikky project is going very well. Hopefully he will be close to being done today. The clothing is turning out really well, especially the sleeves. Here is the progress so far.

Project Trikky

My newest project is a Munny figure. Trikky. I painted one of the Foomi before, but I'm going to try this one with my airbrush and see if that speeds up the process. I'm thinking of doing a steampunk gentleman kitty with a handlebar mustache, a vest and a monocle, but we'll see if that is too bold an idea or not for my airbrush. I was lucky enough to get the hat as my random accessory. If I can paint this one fast enough I will try to do several different ones and take them to Anime Weekend Atlanta to try and sell them. If...

A quick Dust Tactics wip.

To anyone who follows this blog, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I haven't felt much like painting in the past while. Luckily today I felt like painting. I started a walker from Dust Tactics for the German faction. I used an airbrush to highlight the grey and now I'm going over with washes and pigments to get a weathered look. So here is my current progress.

I plan on adding On Source Lighting to the parts that warrant it after I'm done with the weathering. Also a thank you to my friend Matthew for giving me this model.

A circus experience on apocalyptic proportions!

So, this weekend my friends Soda City Cirque (https://www.facebook.com/sodacitycirque) from Columbia, South Carolina put on a post apocalyptic circus production called The Last Machine. It was, to say the least, amazing. The music was as eclectic as the acts. The music ranged from throbbing, beat filled, dubstep to songs of tear jerking beauty. The acts created ranges of emotion every bit as broad as the music. From beautiful scenes of breathtaking acrobatics to intense battles on silks floating high above the ground. I'll be posting photos and perhaps a few videos, maybe, of the show. So, without further ado:

Pandora's Display Box Part 2

As promised, more pictures of progress on the display box for Pandora's crew. I've finished cutting out the circles for their bases. It was a pain to do it by hand, but I'm trying to get over my toxic perfectionism and this was an exercise in that. The circle in the back left came out terrible, but I should be able to cover that up with basing materials. Other than that it is turning out well. I'll try to do some basing on the plasticard tomorrow, as well as apply a black basecoat.

Pandora's Display Box Part 1

Sorry I haven't posted in so long, I've had a few things to deal with, in my head. Now I'm getting back on track. I'm making a display box for my Pandora crew for Malifaux. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a box that I thought looked appropriate for Pandora and some Styrofoam. I've cut the block of Styrofoam down to fit in the box and I will then be covering it with a plasticard sheet that I will texture to make it look like the bases for the crew. I'm cutting out the circles to fit the bases of the models in. It is a bit difficult since I don't have a compass to cut out the circles, but its still coming along ok. I have a couple of pictures right now, but I should have more today or tomorrow. Here is what I have for now.

Featured Artist #2 The Joey Berry

Time again to introduce you to an important influence in my blogging life, such as it is. Without her this blog would not exist. Joey Berry is a wonderful vloger from Plymouth, Kent um...England. She's moves around a bit. She is one of the funniest people on the internet. I don't even remember how I stumbled onto her YouTube channel. (https://www.youtube.com/user/TheJoeyberry) I think it was just a random "Warhammer" search on YouTube. If you are just starting out with Warhammer Fantasy Battle then there is no one better to learn with. Her series on the Lores of Magic is hilarious. She is constantly upbeat, despite choosing Wood Elves as her first army. Not only does she talk about Warhammer she also talks about Malifaux, no 2nd edition yet, as well as some Adepticon coverage. She also covers a little Warhammer 40K. She is more geared towards beginners, but the themes for her armies are fun for seasoned gamers as well. She is very accessible when it comes to questions and comments and takes suggestions from her viewers on what topics people want to see. She is currently working on a "how do you choose the army you want to play?" series for Warhammer Fantasy. With this description you may be asking "why would you bill her as an 'artist'?" Well, when one uses a medium as beautifully as she does to express herself "artist" is a perfect description for what she is. She is an inspiration for anyone who wants to start a blog/vlog based on what brings them joy. So, go and enjoy her videos, like her Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/TheJoeyberry) and follow her on twitter (https://twitter.com/JoeyBerry89)

Army of the Faith

Since I have a new camera I figured I'd take a few pictures of some models I painted last year. So here are a few from my Warmachine army. I have a several different armies for Warmachine, mainly Cryx, but I can never maintain just one army in any game so I've branched out into Protectorate of Menoth. I have other units in the works, such as a unit of Exemplar Vengers and another unit of Cinerators, both of which will be full units. For now this is all I have painted. The Fire of Salvation isn't quite complete. I still have to finish his hanging clothe and two of the Cinerators need their bases finished, but its good enough for now. I hope you enjoy.

Pandora

Here she is, the source of all sorrow and woe. Pandora. The leather came out a little too shiny in the photo, but the model looks very realistic. I highlighted the black with grey and white and then glazed over it with Tamiya Smoke.
