I've started to glue the pages together into signatures. I've got the first signature done. The process is very long. It took well over an hour to do the first 16 pages. Only a few hundred more to go.

Brotherhood of the Laughing Father part 14
I finished another member of my genestealer cult beastman unit. This is the first Bob Olley beastman I've ever painted. I loved these models before I saw them in person and now that I've gotten to see them in person I'm even more blown away. These guys are amazing! I may go back and do a little bit more work on the verdigris on the shield. I feel like it doesn't look natural enough.

Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader Leather Bound Edition part 1
I've always loved antique and rare books. Since I was little I've wanted to own a bookstore. I'm also fascinated by illuminated manuscripts and bookbinding. Warhammer has always been one of the most important things in my life, sad I know. To me it is more than "just a game". It has played a very large part in my childhood development. I love the artwork, the miniatures and the stories. So I have decided to put all of these loves together in one form. I am going to start making leather bound copies of most of the rulebooks for Rogue Trader and 3rd Edition Warhammer Fantasy. The list of books I want to do is: Rogue Trader Rulebook, Warhammer 40k Compendium and Compilation, Battle Manual, Vehicle Manual, Waaagh! Orks, 'Ere We Go, Freebooterz. Warhammer Fantasy 3rd edition rulebook, Warhammer Armies, Warhammer Siege, Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness, Lost and the Damned. Each one will be its own volume, except 'Ever We Go and Freebooterz, which I will probably bind together. Each one will be full leather bound.
When will this being?
It has already begun.
I've striped the cover off of the Rogue Trader rulebook and had the backs of the pages trimmed. Next I will be using strips of paper to connect pairs of pages together. I have built myself a book press and have most of the supplies I'll need to sew the pages and attach the cover. I've decided to bind the book in a traditional style, which is that I will be attaching the cover directly to the pages and spine of the book using cords and glue. I'll be posting progress pictures as I work on it. I don't currently have all the books I need, but I have enough to last me for quite a while. Depending how difficult the process is I might just sell one of these to help fund the others, we'll see after I'm done with the first one.
The final nudge of inspiration for this project came from Geoff at Fimm McCool's, who is binding Warhammer Fantasy's many editions into leather bound books. He is working on a step by step tutorial on the process, so you should check that out if you are interested.

Brotherhood of the Crow part 29
Its been a while since I've posted a mini for my Nurgle army, mainly since I didn't have any to paint. Here is the first chaos thug I've ever painted. He is the beginning of a unit of chaos thugs with heavy armor and two hand weapons, though the leader will have a shield and hand weapon because I'll be using Harry the Hammer as the leader.

Warning: Not Oldhammer
I took a break from oldhammer painting today to paint a commission for a local gamer. Thought since I don't have a new oldhammer model to post I'd give everyone a view of what a modern miniature looks like when I paint it. I didn't do the base because he wanted to do it so it would match his other bases. I'll be doing a few models for him in the next couple of weeks, hopefully. His choice of color scheme.

Freebooterz Ork army part 9
Here is another nob for my Death Skulls retinue unit. Only 3 more to go.
Here is a little group shot of the retinue so far.

Freebooterz Ork army part 8
Another entry in the list. Here is my Weirdboy Warphead. He is originally from the Bad Moons clan and has managed to escape his minderz to go on adventures in 'eadbangin'. He has managed to find some Madboy drinking buddies to pal around with. Eventually I'll find 3 more Madboys to go with the one I have so I can finish this unit. I'll also potentially be using this model as a Possessed Warphead until I find that legendary sculpt.

Freebooterz Ork army part 7
I finished another nob for my outcast Death Skulls retinue. I had already painted this nob last year, but I went back and reworked the blue on the armor and added weathering and finished his base.

Freebooters units in the works.
I thought I would give everyone a quick list of the units I am currently working on in one form or another for my Freebooterz army. Not in any particular order. Many of these units will have clan colors, such as Death Skulls and Bad Moons, with the jolly ork mixed into their banners and backplates.
1. Flash Gitz
I currently have a Kaptain and a Freebooter boy, but I am keeping an eye out for 4 more ork pirates to finish off the minimum unit size. I decided to make my "pirate orks" flash gitz instead of freebooter pirates because flash gitz can be customized while freebooter pirates have to be equipped with matching equipment.
2. Death Skulls Outcast Retinue
I've started painting this one as well, so far I have all the models for this unit I just need to finish painting them. This unit will consist of a Death Skull warlord, 5 Death Skull Nobz in power armor and a Death Skull Weirdboy with minderz.
3. Weirdboy Warphead/Possessed Warphead
I just got the weirdboy for this entry, but I still need 3 more madboyz to go with him. They will be from the Bad Moon clan originally.
4. Chaos Renegade Ork Warband
I have finished the most models for this unit and I have enough to models to finish the unit.
5. Ork-genestealer Brood
I should be getting the models for this unit in about a week. I plan to use the patriarch from my genestealer cult for this unit's patriarch. No clan color scheme on these.
6. Outcast Oddboyz
I have all the models for this unit as well. I haven't decided what clan these were outcast from and I may not give them a clan color scheme at all.
7. Ork Mutant Mob
This entry gives the option for either a unit of 5 mutant boyz OR a chaos spawn originally made from an ork. I will probably go with the spawn option to save myself some trouble and extra models.
8. Renegade Runtmaster
I really like the description of this unit and I have a Runtmaster for it, but I only have one grot from rogue trader, but I do have a box of plastic swarms that includes snotlings.
9. Bad Docs
I have plenty of painboyz to use for this unit and I look forward to finding orks to use as squig-brained orks.
11. Dread Mob
I have the mek and painboy for this unit, but no dreadnoughts yet.
12. Wild Ork Outlaws
I don't have any models for this unit and I'm not sure if I want to paint this unit or if I just want a painted unit of these guys. Comes down to whether or not it will be fun to paint.
13. Renegade Speed Freaks
I would love to have a unit of these. I love the Spead Freak Cult and their color scheme. The only problem is I don't have a Rogue Trader battlewagon and they are hard to find whole and are crazy expensive from what I've seen.

Freebooterz ork army part 6
I've been seeing a lot of Khornate renegades on the internet lately and not being one to miss the bandwagon I thought I'd throw my orky spin on it and finish up another member of my Chaos renegade ork warband. This member is Boss Gorgof, leader of the warband's stormboyz.

Please help my friend. Please.
This is not what you would call one of my normal posts, but this will be the most important one I've ever posted. I'm sorry if this isn't something that you would want to see and I know it is something that I never wanted to post. I've never posted anything like this before and in that regard I suppose I have been lucky. Something terrible has happened to someone I consider a dear friend. I use to live in Ireland, and my stay there would not have been even a fraction as good if it weren't for a very kind and supportive person that I met there. Her name is Stephanie and we spent a wonderful time together in Ireland. She has had some ups and downs while living in Ireland and right now she has been through a terrifying experience and has been the victim of a brutal and unprovoked attack. She was attacked and severely beaten by two men while going home from a friends birthday. She is trying to raise funds for facial reconstruction where the two men literally kicked her face in. Some of you may also know that I haven't worked in months and have no money. So I'm posting this in a plea that some of you may be able to help her in a way that I am currently unable. This isn't some random person on the internet needing help to me. She is someone who means more to me than I've ever been able to express to her. More, probably, than I will ever be able to show her. I hope maybe some of you will be able to help. Thank you all for anything you can do.

The Jade Specters part 2
The first member of the Jade Specters. I have a few extra hybrids so I decided to start a second genestealer cult. This one is a Slaaneshi gang. I don't have many models for it right now, but I wanted to paint something pastel and I've always wanted to do a Slaaneshi army/warband.
The Jade Spectres part 1
From their flamboyant style and outrageous clothes one would never guess that the Jade Specters were the most feared gang in Maalik.
On one of the few hive layers above ground lies the city of Styx. Rumors of the violence in Styx make their way to many levels in Maalik. Even the planetary governor's men rarely venture into Styx, and only when absolutely necessary. The only laws in Styx are those enforced by the gangs on their own turf. The largest and most violent gang of all is the Jade Specters. The Jade Specters began as just another gang formed from the remnants of decimated gangs. Their future was certain to end as violently as it started, until the Decadent came. Only the gang's inner circle knows what the Decadent truly looks like. Tales of his perfection spread as far as the gangs violent reputation. In truth the Decadent is a genestealer patriarch who fell from power when he led a failed coup against the planetary governor. After loosing his brood and supporters he fled to Styx where he knew the governor's troops would not be likely to follow. From there he began to gather followers again. This time from cast off gangers and violent criminals. To ensure the strength of his brood he made a pact with Slaanesh for the power to rebuild his family in the most violent city in Maalik. The Decadent knew that brute violence alone would not secure his hold on Styx. He needed subtlety and the lure of self-indulgence to gain influence over those in power. As his gang grew his first stepping stone to ultimate power was control of the illicit drug trade within Styx. From there he gained authority over the pleasure houses spread throughout the city. The Decadent uses sex and drugs to gain sway over the few city officials with any real power and many owe allegiance to the Jade Specters.
The gang itself is the most vibrant and ostentatious of all the gangs in the city and is especially known for the perversity of its members. Its territories are the most lawless and wild in the entire city and every vise one can imagine can be found within. None who enter their territory leave the same, if at all.

Brotherhood of the Laughing Father part 13
I've started my first unit of brood brothers. I've wanted to do a teal color scheme for a little while now and decided it was finally time. I think the color of the brood brother units will contrast well with the rest of the army. This is the veteran leader of the unit.

Brotherhood of the Laughing Father part 12
I've started work on my beastman unit. This is the only model I have so far, but its a start. I wasn't sure if I wanted to add this to my genestealer cult or my Nurgle army. I decided it would fit my genestealer cult better. After painting this guy I like the snakemen a lot more than I used to. I got this guy off ebay because he was only $4 and I know snakemen are hard to come by at a decent price. Because of that I'm not likely to have more in the unit so he'll probably be the unit "leader". It think this mini is as Nurglesque as you can get without being a Nurgle made model. His clothes and armor are raged and rotted in great ways.
Brotherhood of the Laughing Father part 11
This is the final hybrid for my Brotherhood of the Laughing Father. I saved the heavy weapon for last so I had something interesting to paint for the last model. The multi-melta was the only Rogue Trader Imperial heavy weapon I had besides a conversion beamer and since you can't take a conversion beamer in the Compilation army list I went for a multi-melta. I like multi-meltas anyway so its not a problem. This hybrid has a very sturdy looking pose and he has more "armor" than most of the other sculpts so I figured he would make a good heavy weapon gunner.
Brotherhood of the Laughing Father part 10
Here is another fourth generation hybrid. I've decided that each generation will share a gift of Nurgle. The fourth generation has Nurgle's Rot as its gift.

Brotherhood of the Laughing Father part 9
Here is my fourth hybrid. This one is a 3rd generation with psychic powers and a shuriken catapult. Just two more hybrids to paint and I'll all D6 finished. The next two have a bolter and a multi-melta.
Brotherhood of the Laughing Father part 8
Since every chaos warband needs a banner I decided that the coven needed one too. Something to represent the coven's connection to Nurgle as well as the patriarch.
