After hearing the name come up throughout the Oldhammer community I finally decided to see what Frostgrave was all about. I am not disappointed. It looks like a really fun game. After deciding to create a warband I discovered that I have very few wizard models and even fewer that aren't wearing armor. I want to try to keep the miniatures' wargear as close as possible to the description in the book. For my necromancer I will be using the Coryphaeus model from Rackham's Confrontation line. I think the candles came out good for my first time making them.
Awesome Urion! Pure Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm excited about painting the rest of my warband.
DeleteLoving that!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteSweet! Great choice of model too.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I've had him for a long time. I have a ton of the old confrontation models from when the game was still be made. I'll be using some drune wraiths as well.
DeleteGorgeous, I love the subtle OSL and natural colours, wish I could paint like that!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to steal the sculpted candle idea and try painting a model as if it's lit just by them a la Spiraling Cadaver's Kingdom Death stuff
Thank you. They were super easy to make. Plastic sprue and plastic rods for the candles, wood glue for drips and flames and wire for wicks.
DeleteReally lovely OSL, Urion, you'll have to do a tutorial!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm a fan of OSL.
DeleteVery inspiring. Reminds me of my goal to do more OSL this year, ok really 2016.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it. It is really one of the easiest special effects so its shouldn't be too hard.
